Creamed Steak with Mushroom
- 1 lb. sirloin, rib or tenderloin steak
- 3 tbsp. flour
- ½ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. pepper
- ¼ cup butter or margarine
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- ½ cup onion, minced
- ½ cup water
- 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) cream of chicken soup
- ½ lb fresh mushroom, sliced
Procedure:

Cut meat into ¼ inch strips.

In plastic bag, combine flour, salt and pepper; add steak and shake to evenly coat meat. Set aside.

Melt butter in pan over medium heat.

Sauté garlic until transparent; discard.

Place meat strips in pan and sauté, turning often.

Add onions and cook until lightly browned.

Stir in water, soup and mushrooms.
-
Reduce heat to low; cook uncovered until meat is tender and mixture thickens.
