Creamy Christmas Carbonara

Ingredients: carbonara recipe

  • 500 gms pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • 100 gms bacon, chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp chopped onions
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 pack Cream (Alaska Crema)
  • 3 tbsp parmesan cheese

Procedure:

  1. Fry bacon until brown and lightly toasted.
  2. Remove bacon from pan.
  3. Using the same pan and remaining bacon fat, add up butter, garlic and onions.
  4. Cook for a minute over low heat.
  5. Add mushrooms and flour.
  6. Cook for another minute.
  7. Pour stock little by little while mixing continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
  8. Bring to a boil and blend in cream and cheese.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Served with garlic bread.
