Creamy Christmas Carbonara
- 500 gms pasta, cooked according to package directions
- 100 gms bacon, chopped
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp chopped onions
- ½ cup sliced mushrooms
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1 cup chicken stock
- 1 pack Cream (Alaska Crema)
- 3 tbsp parmesan cheese
Procedure:
- Fry bacon until brown and lightly toasted.
- Remove bacon from pan.
- Using the same pan and remaining bacon fat, add up butter, garlic and onions.
- Cook for a minute over low heat.
- Add mushrooms and flour.
- Cook for another minute.
- Pour stock little by little while mixing continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
- Bring to a boil and blend in cream and cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Served with garlic bread.
