Grilled Steak and Mushroom Salad Recipe

Low Calorie Grilled Steak And Mushroom

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½  pounds beef sirloin steak
  • ½  cup red-wine

  • 5 oz. baby spinach

  • 12 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced

  • 6 oz. Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

 

Directions:

  1. Place 3 tablespoons of red wine in a large food-storage bag.

  2. Add steak.

  3. Seal bag then toss to coat steak.

  4. Pour the remaining 5 tablespoons red wine into a large salad bowl.

  5. Thinly slice mushrooms and add to bowl; toss to coat in dressing.

  6. Scatter spinach leaves on top of mushrooms; do not toss.

  7. Prepare an outdoor grill or heat a grill pan over medium heat 5 minutes, or until very hot.

  8. Remove steak from bag and grill 5 minutes per side, or until internal temperature registers 135 degrees F on an instant-read thermometer for medium-rare.

  9. Transfer steak to a cutting board; let rest 10 minutes.

  10. Thinly slice steak across the grain on a slight diagonal.

  11. Toss mushrooms and spinach in bowl; top with sliced steak.

  12. Garnish with Gorgonzola cheese.
