Valentine Fudge Brownies Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 120 unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, lightly packed brownies
  • 2 tbsp. light corn syrup
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 4 whole eggs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup walnuts, almonds, cashews or pecans

Cooking Procedure:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Grease and line a 9” x 9” x 2” baking pan.  Set aside.
  3. Melt together chocolate and butter in a mixing bowl placed over another pan with boiling water (or melt in microwave oven).
  4. Cool to lukewarm.
  5. Whisk together both sugars, corn syrup, salt, vanilla, eggs, and egg yolk until light about 5 minutes.
  6. Sift together dry ingredients.  Set aside.
  7. Add melted chocolate into beaten eggs.
  8. Fold in dry ingredients.
  9. Pour into prepared pan. 
  10. Top with nuts.
  11. Baked for 35 to 40 minutes.
  12. Cool completely then cut into bars.
  • The light syrup will make your brownies moist and chewy.
